In relation to the general population specific types of prayer can affect our behavior in society. Within this study prayers of adoration and thanksgiving showed a relationship to prosocial behavior within the context of Christianity. Other religious types of prayer within the general population can also have affects on behavior. More research in the context of other religions would have to be conducted to discover the impact of different types of prayer on behavior in terms of the intent and focus of prayer in the general population.
