This is very interesting!! Obviously more research needs to be done here, but I would be interested in seeing the differences in clinical progress from clients who have a strong relationship with their therapist to those who are just starting out in their therapeutic journeys via telehealth.
Thank you, Caroline! I think that’s a great idea for future research too.
Thank you for sharing your research and presenting at NEPA! So timely with your research. In my practice I’ve experienced some of the challenges of Telehealth-and spoken with some trainees during this time-and seems like a lot of extra layers to get through just to keep moving forward in your program. Nice job.
Interesting to hear about how students are adjusting to therapy over telehealth, and reassuring to see that some experience building new clinical skills through this experience. I could see a potential future study here focused on understanding which skills students feel have improved as a result of telehealth and which are negatively impacted. Also curious how different modes of telehealth (e.g., video vs. phone) impact student experience of training. Really glad to see this work!
