Choosing a graduate program can be demanding. Is program accreditation necessary? What employment options exist post-degree? From a highly competitive application process to post-degree employment concerns students face a complex area of challenge. Is an MA a viable step prior to pursuing a Ph.D. or PsyD? Should I consider Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Forensic Psychology, or School Psychology? Are related degrees such as Marriage and Family Therapy or Counselor Education also viable? Who is the largest employer of psychologists? Is an assistantship important?

This symposium is intended to increase students’ understanding and awareness offering a critical examination of options and opportunities. An ample opportunity for discussion will be provided.

Questions?

What kind of graduate program is right for me?
What opportunities exist post-graduation?
Are there areas of oversupply?
Are there areas of shortage?
