Very interesting; thank you.
Very timely research. I was wondering if you could share an example of a true and a false tweet used in the study?
Hello,
An example of a true negative tweet is:
Lion in North Carolina zoo escapes enclosure and fatally attacks zoo intern.
False negative:
The number of people killed in plane crashes jumped in 2018 compared with the previous year, with more than 500 deaths recorded.
True positive:
Massachusetts man devotes last years of life to building bikes for poor children.
False positive:
Homelessness eradicated in NYC borough, volunteers open homes to those in need.
Thank you so much for your commentary,
