I also conducted a survey on psychosocial outcomes during Covid-19 among college students and I found an unexpected relationship between gender and perceived stress and social isolation; similar to your results, female college students were impacted more negatively than male college students. I had both undergraduate and graduate students in my sample and after reading your explanation (childcare issues, job loss, etc.) I’m interested to look at my sample and see if there is an interaction between gender and age or gender and status (undergraduate vs. graduate).
